Ta DA!!

Hi everyone, Mary Ellen here.

Love that garden bench idea. I don’t have a work bench or wood working area, so building with the concrete blocks is right up my alley. The idea of planting right in it has lots of possibilities. Also love that there would be no painting/staining/water proofing involved!

Have finished my two versions of the table topper I wrote about previously. Here they are. Different color placements–different looks. Can see lots of possibilities for this pattern. It would be very easy to change the size, since it uses basic blocks plus borders. Definitely a keeper pattern. (Table Cozees II by Clothesline Quilts) I hope my audience likes this pattern choice.

What’s up for your weekend? Shopping? Stitching? Hobby? I hope it’s a great one for you. TTFN!

  1. LOVE it!! I think your color choices are a perfect example how different colors can make the exact same pattern look quite different – perfect teaching point!! (would expect no less from a teacher like you! 🙂 )

  2. OMG – just realized that because I am one of the blog administrators, my ID shows up as our blog…LOL! So this was not our blog commenting but me – Marija! sorry about that…Time for Friday afternoon coffee to get me going again! 🙂

Mary Ellen – these are both really cute! I like both color combinations and will put this pattern on my bucket list to try. My weekend? I am working on a “Christmas Charms Gone Wild” quilt kit that I have had in my stash from last fall. Thought it would be a good time to work on it and not be rushing to finish it close to the Christmas holiday! Enjoy this great weather! Colleen

What a great example to show how a block can go from traditional to modern just by the change in fabric. (You are a gifted teacher!)

We'd love to hear from you. Leave us a note.
